Part-Time Revenue Accounting Officer – Airlines

🛠️ Roles & Responsibilities

🔹 Data Collection & Storage

  • Verify reception of sales and operational data from airline clients
  • Upload and monitor files in the system
  • Flag anomalies and notify customers accordingly
  • Maintain proper filing and secure data storage

🔹 Data Input

  • Update master references based on requirements
  • Process sales records using internal quality tools
  • Handle invoices from other airlines in line with IATA standards
  • Process uplifted and no-show documents using flight reports and DCS messages

🔹 Data Processing

  • Reconcile sales and refunds with airline and external reports
  • Analyze and audit transactions to correct anomalies
  • Process documents per IATA rules and initiate correspondences for uplifted/rejected records
  • Submit billings to appropriate governing bodies

🔹 Quality Control

  • Detect, log, and correct errors through defined procedures
  • Take prompt corrective actions where needed

🔹 Reporting

  • Generate and analyze airline statistical and financial reports
  • Provide reports based on customer needs+

Revenue Accounting Officer for Airlines

JOB DESCRIPTION

A Revenue Accounting Officer (RAO) is responsible for processing airline revenue, which involves data collection, reconciliation, auditing and interline billing.

DATA-COLLECTION & STORAGE

Verify the reception of data.

Monitor that all files received are uploaded in the system.

Notify the reception of data and anomalies to the customer.

Maintain proper filing and data storage.

DATA INPUT

Update master references as and when required and as per defined requirements.

Process sales records using internal quality tools and ensure anomalies are notified in due time to the customer.

Process invoices received from other airlines with IATA reports.

Process uplifted/NoShow documents with flight operations report and Departure Control System messages.

DATA PROCESSING

Reconcile sales and refund figures with airline or any other external reports.

Process own and other airline documents as per IATA Rules and Regulations.

Analyze and audit sales/refunds and take appropriate actions to correct anomalies.

Process invoices and initiate correspondences to other airlines for uplifted and rejected documents within set deadlines.

Submit billings via appropriate governing body.

QUALITY CONTROL

Correct and log errors through established procedures.

Take corrective actions for errors detected.

REPORTING

Generate and analyze airline statistical reports and any other reports as per customer requirements.

 

REQUIREMENTS

–> Holder of Higher School Certificate, Diploma or certificates in IATA, or any related qualifications.

–> Previous experience in the aviation industry is a definite advantage (ticketing, booking, cargo, and freight management, etc)

–> Able to understand and effectively deal with changes in business needs as they arise.

–> A great eye for detail and the ability to maintain high standards of quality.

–> Fluency in French and English.

–> Knowledge and experience in IT tools.

Cost Control Analyst – Invoice Control

Job Description:

The Cost Control Analyst is responsible for processing/auditing airline tariffs, classify costs, analyze data, and resolve client issues efficiently. They’ll also perform cost control activities and assist with implementation projects as needed.

Responsibilities:

 

DATA PROCESSING

· Collecting and registering all incoming invoices.

· Checking with suppliers / tariff team regarding incorrect invoices.

· Reconcile invoices with calculated costs

· Gap analysis and raising of claims when needed

· Follow-up on claims with the suppliers

· Monitor the provisional costs

· Respond to information requests by searching and escalating to the supervisor as appropriate.

· Produce standard correspondence by following existing templates.

· Meet established goals and objectives for client deliverable.

 

QUALITY CONTROL

· Conduct data verification; audit own data entry for accuracy and make required corrections.

· Correct and log errors through established procedures.

· Take corrective actions for errors detected.

 

FUNCTIONAL

· Become a subject matter expert for complex processes or sub-processes.

· May serve as a technical and functional resource or super user to other team members.

· Participate in process improvement initiatives or special projects as assigned.

· Participate in client conference call.

 

PROFILE AND SKILLS:

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting, mathematics, statistics or related fields

· 1-3 years of relevant work experience in the above fields is preferred.

· An eye for detail and the ability to maintain high standards of quality

· Excellent communication skills – both written and spoken

· Strong analytical skills and efficient planning skills

· Team player

· Proficient in MS Office

· Knowledge in the aviation industry is a plus
